HEAL-LANG Artist’s Statement: · Heal Verb- cause (a wound, injury, or person) to become sound or healthy again/ become sound or healthy again/ alleviate (a person's distress or anguish). "time can heal the pain of grief". · Hilang (Malay word of lost/missing) Adjective- lost/missing Hilang- be lost, vanish/ pass away, die Kehilangan- suffers the loss of The combination of the two is ‘HEAL-LANG’ as well as bringing out the pronunciation as (Hilang). It’s a continuous study of collective statements and thoughts of the RABAK series work. HEAL-LANG is the process of study of depression and mental health awareness. It will be developed into a live-action painting performance art based presented with Sub-conscious and Un-conscious minds (Freud)as it’s provided with help of both scripted and unscripted, time, space, it’s the Physical (body) & Mechanical Barriers Noise; performer’s body, and sound (noise). It is the disturbance or interference in the performer’s (the artist himself) art-making process RABAK series along the way. Noise through changing marks disturbs or interferes with the message. Whatever distracts the receiver’s attention causes emotional and communication breakdowns. Noise can be psychological. Psychological noise is related to mental disturbances like ego clashes, preoccupied thoughts, hangovers, anxiety, missing, hunger, weakness, headaches, medication, and other factors that affect how we feel and think. The number of performers: There are 8 other performers documented with movement, improvisation, and the help of psychological noises and act with various levels of emotion such as anger, frustration, embarrassment, shame, sadness, helplessness, disappointment, and joyful. Medium use will be approximately 7 x 7 feet of un-stretched canvas, varnish bottles, pastels, graphite, charcoals, rollers, ropes, emulsion paints, brushes, unused clothes, papers, etc. 1.
