UrbanCr3atures & Friends x UrbanCr3atures Y Amigos

UrbanCr3atures & Friends is the first solo exhibition by Lim Chun Woei. He grew up breathing the air and sound of the 80’s TV culture and in which he turns for inspiration in all his works. In this exhibition, there will be prints featuring the collection of character designs of pop icons presented in anaglyph 3D and original art toys. This exhibition is a celebration of creativity, imagination, and innovation. To make this exhibition more meaningful, it will be held simultaneously in Penang, Malaysia and New Mexico City, Mexico. This will also see some of the friends coming in to celebrate with UrbanCr3atures where 6 Malaysian and 6 Mexico artists will be featured through a toy crossover.

Through this collection, you will be able to witness the fusion of popular culture and art, as well as the blurring of boundaries between the physical and digital worlds. UrbanCr3atures & Friends es la primera exposición individual de Lim Chun Woei. Él creció respirando el aire y el sonido de la cultura televisiva de los años 80, en la que se inspira para todos sus trabajos. En esta exposición, habrá impresiones con una colección de diseños de personajes de íconos pop presentados en anaglifo 3D y juguetes de arte originales. Esta exposición es una celebración de la creatividad, la imaginación y la innovación. Para hacer esta exposición aún más significativa, se llevará a cabo simultáneamente en Penang, Malasia y Ciudad de México, México. Esto también verá a algunos de los amigos unirse para celebrar con UrbanCr3atures, donde se presentarán 6 artistas malasios y 6 artistas mexicanos a través de un crossover de juguetes.
